Cuteness!

Guess what I saw today when I walked into a photocopy shop to get my notes photocopied?

This!!

A small little baby pug! It is soooo cute ok!

The shop lady scared it might run off while she's doing her work, so she placed it on the chair. The pug as small as it seems, was too scared to jump off the chair. I had quite a lot of fun playing with the pug. She (it's a gal) kept yawning from time to time (with sound!! it's super cute k!), I guess it's because she was sick of her restricted moving area.

see.. she is so super tiny even my palm is bigger than her head lol.

yawning~

In the end, I gave my cellphone number to the shop lady, literally "begging" her to call me up if the people who's going to take her decided not to take her anymore. Now guys, please pleaseeee pray for me ok.... ;)

one more shot of her ;p

On an unrelated note, does anyone has any idea which webcam model is more reliable? I'm eyeing on a Logitech QuickCam Pro for Notebooks, as it's 2MP and has other pretty cool specification. Ar, I'm a noob in gadget; can anyone gives me some advices? ;'(

Oh no, did I not tell you I have a thing for floral lately. Some people might think it's tacky to wear; it would turn you into a granny probably anytime. Ngek ngek, I would love be a granny anyway.. only if I bought one of those! lol. Okay, crap aside. I've tried this Topshop floral blouse just now and I fell in love with it immediately. But as my initial target was not shopping, so I gave it back to the SA very reluctantly. It's not that pricey but after a 10% discount and 25 bucks voucher, I still need some time to think about. But hey! It's last piece. Sigh.

So, what do you think? Should I buy it or should I pass? Please drop me some comments if you have any!

ahem, ignore the unmatchy brassiere please...

With some red tiny floral and other mixes of colour, I'm thinking a Yes... Hmm, decision decision.

Ta-da!

I've bought something COOL for you guys...

Okay, here's a peep..

Can't see? Let's open the paper bag.. and see what's inside k.

Ta-da! It's ice cubes!

See, I've told you rite? It's COOL (cold).

lol.

The Kite Runner

With a tagline of "There is a way to be good again".....

The Kite Runner has just become my choice of best movie for this very moment.

I have been planning to read this book since last year after reading numerous readers' comments in Amazon. Anyway, I haven't got the chance to read it before watching this movie in theather so I knew nothing much about the story beforehand.

There were not much people in the theather as the seats were only half-occupied. I didn't bother it much as I know this movie will not dissapoint me. The movie was fantastic and very moving although some part of the film was not a very pleasant story to know about(the ugliness of post-Russia invaded Afghanistan and the terror of the Taliban were being described substantially in the film).

It is indeed a meaningful and heartfelt story. Not to mention quite a number of gentlemen rubbing against their noses using tissues after we came out of the theather. Of course, same to the ladies, including me. I got a very bad headache after the movie because of the trying-hard-not-to-cry-out-loudly attempt.

You can read the plot of the film at its official site and IMDB. Besides, Wikipedia has also pointed out a lot of additional information of it, including its controversy. I'm definitely going to read the book.

back to bed.

oh hell... and I have the bullshit financial management tutorial on tomorrow morning.

fuck.

p/s: sorry for the profanity but I just can't help it.

Duh

I have been having this weird desire of purchasing shoes these few days. My initial target was a Vincci heels that I've been wanting to buy recently (cos I ended up walking out of the shop everytime -_- )

Today (should be yesterday) , out of a sudden I drove to Sunway Pyramid2 to try my luck and alas, obviously I have bad luck.

The whole Padini Concept Store was closed due to their annual dinner. (no concept store = no Vincci)

=___=

Due to my desperateness of getting a to-die-for heels, I walked into Aldo and picked up the cutest retro pumps I've been lusting over.

I tried it on again, and loved it even MORE.

Then I put it back and walked out of the shop.

End of story.

Of heart aching and tears dropping

There are 60-70 percent water in human bodies which totally make sense why I've been crying quite a lot lately.

Today is one of those days which I couldn't hold it up anymore and finally tears rolled down my cheeks.

I've got to stop behaving like a child who's been crying that she never gets her favourite lollipop back again.

I need my lollipop. I want it back because I can't sleep without it by my side.

Shoes shoes shoes

I'll get crazy every time after walking into any retail outlets with shoes being displayed in the shop. No, I will NOT get excited when browsing through Vincci's shoes or Nose's (I prefer Nose, tho). I didn't mean their shoes are sucks; I do buy them but they are lack of the "wow" effect that I like. But when it comes to Aldo, Topshop, Nine West and etc I will turn into "I like that, I want this!" kind of me. I like those chunky heels as well as stilettos. But stilettos have really thin heels; I would rather die than walking in those barely-noticed pointy heels..

My cheapie Pull&Bear pumps which I bought during clearance sales is dead - one of the pointy soles had dropped after me running on the rocky road. T___T

Blame the interview.....

Anyway, as I was surfing through the internet, reading my daily must-visit fashion blogs, I saw Rumi wearing the heels which I think is very nice.

taken from Fashion Toast.

This is Koudougou, the latest collection of Aldo. I love how slanted the heel is and of course, the creative platform design sums up the killer sling-back. $100.

Tessaoua, Aldo. $80.

This retro shoes has got my attention right after I walked into Aldo few days back. The adjustable t-strap is extremely sexy I tell you. The shoes look better in real and it has a glossy leather style. I went crazy after trying it on. Incredibly cute pumps but I held myself back from buying it. Well, having been in a recent tight-budget situation, I should behave myself and keep my purse in place, and shall refrain from tempting by this Pandora of shoes.

In the meantime, these kind of shoes will remains on the 'To try on shamelessly and Not Buy' list... (ahem..I think I'm the only one who does that..)

Taiwan Trip

At last, I managed to resize some of the pictures I captured in Taiwan three weeks ago. There's a lot of them but oh well.. no jumping picture ;( It's inappropriate to jump at the place like Taipei 101, imagine how embarrass I can be. lol. Overall, the trip was great; the weather was just nice, and so were the people there.

us at KLIA before leaving.

The first night was spent by walking (yes, in the pouring rain) at Shilin night market. It is the largest night market in Taiwan. We tried some must-try food there, but I like their fried mee hoon the most. haha. (u must be thinking like.. wth here also have fried mee hoon rite. But it was nice, compared with other stuff that we ate.) Well, actually others were not that bad; their oyester omelet was pretty nice, and their Aiyu Jelly (愛玉冰) and Pearl milk tea are definitely a must-try too.

Baked potatoes

The next morning we stopped by Yang Ming Shan (陽明山) before we went off to Jiu Fen. Yang Ming Shan is a collection of peaks of mountain, situated at northeast of Taipei. Cherry (sakura) can be seen along the road as we going up the hills and it was beautiful. Too bad the place we stopped by had less sakura and it's less pinkish than those we seen. The place was grown with beautiful white flowers which I wasn't quite sure with its name. (I know its Chinese name, but not English)

pale tiny cherry blossoming. lol.

The farm which fully planted with the white flowers (Haiyu)

Haiyu..

Next stop- Jiu Fen, a small town where beautiful preserved traditional houses can be found. The main area of interest to visitors are the town's historic commercial district which is covered by two pedestrian streets: Jishan Street (基山街, which runs along the ridge line), and Shuchi Street (豎崎路, which runs up and down the slope of the hill). I particularly like the Jishan Street very much.

Beef noodles..

Fishball.. they sell various kind of huge fishball.

This lady was so cute till I can't stop laughing. She was extremely good in posing!

This lady was concentrating on writing calligraphy

The second night was spent in Shangrila Leisure Farm. Weather was a bit chilling, but of course still bearable. We had some fun activities with other visitors in the farm, playing huge gasing, making tang yuen, and writing our wishes on the kong ming lamp before flying it off to the sky.

It was not as cold as it seemed. ;p

A better example of posing..oh well ;p

taxi~! (there was barely anything there, though!)

Yilan Wine Center

sausages..

Third day was spent at Yi Lan Wine Center and National Center for Traditional Art. The exhibition of weaving craft was amazing. They actually used the all weaving thing to create masterpieces, like people, clothing, and stuff that you hardly believe which can be done by weaving.

Some "vintage" soaps displayed in a random shop

At the wine center.. Yushi and I..

Did some handcrafting with mosaic in a folk art shop. :))

Us at the art center.

I've got mail to post. Yea, right.

Some snacks we had..

It's Folk Art Boulevard behind me..

Guangsiao Shrine

We spent our night at Lan-Yang Spring Resort at Chiao Shi and it was the time we enjoyed dipping ourself in the hot spring! Everyone can enjoy their personal hot-spring as the water was being sent through a piping system right to their room. So I didn't go to the public ones, as I was too shy ;)

Japanese-style room with Hinoki bathroom

Eating cakes and chatting in a local cafe at Chiao Shi.

The next morning we went back to Taipei, and visited the The Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall (中正紀念堂), controversially renamed the "National Taiwan Democracy Memorial Hall" (臺灣民主紀念館) by the DPP, is the symbol of both Taipei and the Republic of China. The memorial consists of a large bronze statue of Chiang Kai-shek, which is now become "over-decorated" by DPP. The National Theater Hall (國家戲劇院) and National Concert Hall (國家音樂廳) are located beside of the memorial.

The "over-decorated" statue.

Steamed pork dumplings in Din Tai Fung (鼎泰豐) were heavenly. The deliciousness of it can be known by judging on the numbers of waiting visitors in front of the shop. No pictures of that as everyone was too busy eating different kind of dumplings and etc.

random shot of the sweet couple in front of Din Tai Fung

Taipei 101, the 508-meter high skyscraper is located in the Xinyi District of Taipei. It's another shopping mall with designer brands which you can name of.

Ximending is a trendy shopping area just west of Downtown popular with local students. We had Ah-Zong Mee Suah, which is known as Oyster vermicelli (蚵仔麵線), if I was not mistaken. We finished our mee suah by standing, but not sitting. Yes. And it was so crowded that the front of the shop was packed with customers.

Wu Fen Pu.. the place where you can get cheapy clothes and also discounts.

Malaysia's taxis should upgrade to Camry too.. ;p nicer to sit on..
